V International Conference IMIC BEAR 2015
The V International Conference "Mining Industry in the Barents Euro-Arctic Region: View to the Future” (IMIC BEAR-2015) with the main topic «Import Substitution and Potential Points of Growth» took place in Kirovsk Town, Murmansk Region, Russia, on the 19 – 20 of November, 2015.
Discussion of experience and perspectives of mining industry development were organized with the following topics: identification of optimal mechanisms of state support for producers of minerals in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation (RF AZ), analysis of the possibilities for import substitution in the field of technical and technological support of the mining complex of the RF Arctic zone, identification of ways and mechanisms for extension of information technology and automation of production at mining enterprises of BEAR, training of engineering and working staff, adapted to work at the modern high-tech mining and processing productional complexes of the RF Arctic zone.
The General sponsors were AO “Apatit”, AO “Kovdorsky GOK”, AO “Olcon”, AO “Kola MMC”. More than 250 participants took part at the Conference including representatives of governmental authorities of RF, mining holding companies and enterprises, research and educational institutions, municipal entity specialists of the Murmansk Region, Moscow Region, Leningrad Region, Moscow And Saint-Petersburg Cities. Figures from business and academia from Belorussia, Finland, Norway, Belgium, Holland took part at the Conference. The trade show of modern equipment and mining technologies and B2B meetings were organized in the framework IMIC BEAR 2015.
